In October 2021 Bob Cornelissen presented a webinar for Silect MP University called “Monitoring web-based API’s in SCOM – POC Ninja Style”. This was a slightly shorter version of the webinar around how to monitor a Philips Hue Bridge and attached devices using SCOM and web-based APIs and PowerShell.
Sometimes we want to monitor a device without an agent or SNMP with SCOM. In this session we show a POC for monitoring a Philips Hue Bridge with connected devices through a web-based API and the management pack creation around it. There is a lot of demo-ing in this session, so you can follow along in the process used.
